This morning on Toucher & Hardy, the crew discussed how surprising it was that Cam Ward was picked #1 overall, especially with all the hype around Shedeur Sanders. Albert Breer said many NFL coaches didn’t even view Sanders as a first-round talent and that Ward had a much higher ceiling. He also explained that Sanders hurt himself by acting like a guaranteed top-five pick and turning off teams with his attitude. Andrew Callahan added that Sanders’ confidence likely came from his dad, Deion Sanders, and that his inflated college stats and poor interviews didn’t help.
